After the age of 40, when it comes to weight loss, it's not about doing "all the right things". At some point, everything shifts and what worked in our 20s and 30s no longer gets the results. This shift is the result of declining estrogen levels, which slow metabolism, cause fat to accumulate around the abdomen, and reduce muscle mass. These changes, combined with natural aging, poor sleep quality, stress, and increased insulin resistance, make it easier to gain weight and harder to lose it. 


But here's thing, it doesn't have to be that way!


Through metacognition (conscious thinking), creating new habits that our evolved body demands,  finding new ways to buffer stress, and optimizing health, the weight lose follows. Our body composition alters to increase muscle mass while maximizing fat loss. The result is steady, enduring loss of those last 10 pounds while improving energy, mood, sleep, and overall vitality.
